Sonny Gray Might Be Ready After All-Star Break
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray (ribs) has been on the injured list since July 8 with a strained rib cage. The injury came at an opportune time for Gray as he has been able to use the All-Star break as a chance to heal up from the injury, which has pestered him on and off throughout the season. Gray has a chance to not miss a start if he's able to return to action by the end of his team's first series following the conclusion of the All-Star break. Right-hander Tony Santillan would presumably get another start if Gray is not ready to come back. Gray has a 2-4 record, 3.19 ERA, and 80 strikeouts across 62 innings of work this season.
