Sonny Gray Strikes Out 11 In Loss
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings of work in an 8-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. Gray struck out 11 and walked three. Despite his strong outing, the veteran hurler took a hard-luck loss in the contest, dropping his record to 0-2 through three starts. Overall, Gray has a 5.93 ERA, 1.76 WHIP, and 23 strikeouts over 13 2/3 innings of work. Gray's strikeout rate this season has been elite and he should start to turn his record around with a little more luck. He's scheduled to face the Chicago White Sox next time through the rotation.
