3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray allowed one run over five innings in a 2-1 win over the Chicago Cubs on Friday. Gray struck out eight and walked one while scattering five hits in the outing. The veteran right-hander was activated from the injured list earlier in the day after spending about three weeks on the sidelines with a groin injury. Despite the solid outing in his return, Gray had to settle for a no-decision in the contest. He will take a 1-4 record, 3.27 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 73 strikeouts into his next start, which will come against the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday.
