Sonny Gray Strikes Out Eight In Start Against Atlanta
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray allowed two runs over five innings in a 3-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. Gray struck out eight and walked three, with the only runs allowed coming in the form of an Adam Duvall two-run homer. The veteran right-hander wound up escaping with a no-decision in the contest. Gray now has a 4-6 record, 4.40 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 111 strikeouts over 86 innings of work this season. He has struggled of late, posting a 5.75 ERA over his past seven starts. Gray will take on the Philadelphia Phillies next time his spot in the rotation comes up.
