Sonny Gray Strikes Out Nine In No-Decision
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray allowed four runs (three earned) in 5 1/3 innings of work in his Tuesday start against the Atlanta Braves. He picked up nine strikeouts and didn't walk a batter in the no-decision. Gray has been revitalized while pitching for the Reds, posting a 0-3 record, 3.28 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 31 strikeouts in 24 2/3 innings of work. While the wins aren't coming for the veteran right-hander, his high strikeout rate has made him very fantasy-relevant. Gray is still owned in just 52% of Yahoo leagues and is worth an add in all formats. He will take the mound against the St. Louis Cardinals in his next start.
