3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray allowed four runs (three earned) over five innings of work in a 6-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Gray struck out three and walked two in the loss. While it was far from a disastrous outing, Gray wasn't particularly sharp as he allowed two homers and threw just 53 of 87 pitches for strikes. Gray hasn't been pitching very deep into games but he has been solid, with Monday's start just the second time he has allowed more than two runs this season. Gray will take a 0-3 record, 3.86 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and 39 strikeouts into his next start, which is scheduled to come against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.--Matt T - RotoBaller
