Sonny Gray Takes Tough-Luck Loss
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray held the Pittsburgh Pirates to one run over 6 2/3 innings of work in a 2-0 loss on Friday. Gray finished with seven strikeouts while allowing just three hits in the outing. It is an encouraging development after Gray was knocked around in his season debut earlier in the week. Gray has struggled with consistency over the past few years, but Friday was a glimpse at what he can do when he's on. Gray will look to carry it over in his next start, which will come against the Miami Marlins. He will be a recommended streaming option for that start, so check to see if he's available in your league.
