Sonny Gray Tosses Seven Scoreless Innings Against Royals
2 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Sonny Gray was on his game on Wednesday in the 7-0 shutout win over the Kansas City Royals. Gray threw seven shutout innings and allowed only three hits, walking one and striking out eight in the process. The 32-year-old veteran right-hander now sits with an 8-4 record, 2.91 ERA (3.29 FIP), 1.10 WHIP, 116 strikeouts and 35 walks in 117 2/3 innings over 23 starts in his first season in Minnesota. He's been especially good in his last 10 outings, going 4-1 with a 1.98 ERA (3.06 FIP), 59 strikeouts and 18 walks in 54 2/3 innings pitched. Fantasy managers should continue to roll him out there in their starting lineups when he takes the rubber next.
