Sonny Gray Likely To Miss A Few More Starts
3 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Sonny Gray (groin) will likely miss a few more turns through the rotation. The veteran is currently with the team for its three-city road trip, which caused some to speculate that he was close to nearing a return from the 10-day injured list. However, the 31-year-old has been dealing with groin tightness since leaving a matchup against the Brewers over a week ago, so it appears that the team isn't taking any chances by rushing him back. In the meantime, fantasy managers should expect Tony Santillan to get some extra work until Gray can return. The right-hander was recently called up from Triple-A Louisville and logged just over four innings of work to go along with a 1.93 ERA in his Major League debut on Sunday against the Rockies.
