7 years agoNew England Patriots rookie running back Sony Michel (knee) underwent a procedure to drain fluid from his knee after he left practice on Wednesday, and he is expected to be out for at least 10 days, according to sources. The procedure isn't expected to affect his availability for much, if any, of the regular season. Michel was taken 31st overall in the first round of the draft and is expected to form something of a committee with Rex Burkhead and James White in the backfield. His injury obviously lowers his fantasy value in redraft leagues heading into the season, and it makes both Burkhead and White a little more attractive as well. Michel is still worth drafting with a late-round pick in PPR leagues, but his fantasy ceiling remains low in his rookie year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
