3 years agoThe New England Patriots traded running back Sony Michel to the Los Angeles Rams for 2022 fifth, and sixth-round draft picks. It can be converted to a fourth-round draft choice if the Rams get a compensatory pick. The Rams backfield has been hit with a slew of injuries during training camp (Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson) and acquired Michel for running back depth. He should have more opportunities with the Rams and could steal some early-down work from Darrell Henderson, who is currently nursing a thumb injury. Michel rushed for 449 yards on 79 carries and one touchdown while catching seven passes for 114 yards and a touchdown over nine games for the Patriots in 2020. Despite the recent acquisition of Michel, Henderson (thumb) is the Rams running back fantasy managers should be targeting in their upcoming drafts.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
