Spencer Howard Earns First Career Win
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Spencer Howard allowed two runs in five innings pitched in a win against the Nationals Monday. Howard scattered five hits and two walks and struck out four as he earned his first win in the Big Leagues. It was the first time in four starts the rookie completed five innings so his fantasy ceiling is limited, but the top-prospect averaged over 11 K/9 at every stop in the minors so the talent is there. He is a must-own player in keeper or dynasty leagues, but his seasonal value is limited to 14-team leagues and deeper.
