3 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Spencer Howard (blister) was placed on the 10-day injured list, according to the Dallas Morning News. Howard was scheduled to start on Friday, but GM Chris Young said the team will go with a bullpen game against the Angels. Howard was a former top prospect with the Phillies, but some of the shine has worn off as he was traded to Texas last season as part of the Ian Kennedy trade. Howard was shelled in his first start this season against the Blue Jays, as he allowed six runs in three innings, including allowing four home runs.
