4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies pitcher Spencer Howard will make his major-league debut on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves. Manager Joe Girardi was initially coy about whether the team's No. 2 prospect would toe the rubber on Sunday but the news was confirmed on Saturday afternoon. The 24-year-old pitched to a 2.03 ERA with 94 strikeouts across 71 innings pitched for four different minor league teams. It's a somewhat tough matchup for Howard against the Braves but he has the stuff to be successful.--Tim Capurso
