3 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Spencer Howard was sharp during Wednesday's game against the Seattle Mariners. He has been held to short outings this season, but it appears to be working with his new organization. On Wednesday, Howard threw three scoreless innings, two hits allowed, and three strikeouts in the 2-1 loss. He'll carry a 5.61 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 37 strikeouts over 33 2/3 innings into a rematch with Seattle next week. Howard is likely going to continue pitching these short three or four inning outings.
