2 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Spencer Strider looked much better in Monday's 13-1 win over the Mets after a short outing in his last matchup against them. Strider pitched 5 innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk with four strikeouts on 87 pitches. The 23-year-old has been stellar this season and now owns a 7-4 record with a 3.04 ERA and a 13.50 K/9 rate over 25 appearances, 14 of which have been starts. He will get another tough matchup against the Astros in his next start, but his strikeout upside is too high to consider sitting him.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
