4 years agoDetroit Tigers first base prospect Spencer Torkelson went 3-for-3 with two walks on Thursday at High-A. The first overall selection of the 2020 draft had two singles and his eighth double of the year. Torkelson had a tough start to the season but he's now up to a 157 wRC+ through 28 games. The slugger has yet to tap into his plus raw power with just four homers but he's keeping his strikeouts at a reasonable level (21%) and he has an impressive walk rate at (19%). A healthy 22% line-drive rate also suggests more pop will come. Torkelson is ranked by Rotoballer as the top first base prospect for dynasty baseball.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
