3 years agoDetroit Tigers first base prospect Spencer Torkelson slugged his first Double-A home run on Friday. The first-overall selection from the 2020 amateur draft was playing in his fourth game at the level after opening the season at High-A ball. Known for his prodigious power, Torkelson has just six home runs in 35 games this season but he's shown a very good all-around game in his first taste of pro ball. He had a 171 wRC+ before his promotion and he has not looked out of place at Double-A in recent days. Torkelson is ranked by Rotoballer as the eighth-best prospect for dynasty baseball leagues.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
