3 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher Spenser Watkins turned in a good second career start in Sunday's 7-5 extra-innings loss to the White Sox. Watkins pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing one run on four hits (including a solo home run) and three walks with four strikeouts. The O's are in desperate need of pitching help and Watkins has looked good so far in his limited big-league action, posting a 1.74 ERA and 1.26 WHIP through three appearances (two starts). Fantasy managers should wait to see more from Watkins before forming an opinion on him, but he is worth keeping an eye on given his early performance.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
