7 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Starlin Castro has mostly been hitting in the three spot in the batting order this spring, and manager Don Mattingly plans on mainly using Castro in the third spot during the season. The 27-year-old will hit in front of cleanup hitter Justin Bour. Castro has posted a career slash line of .264/.291/.400 with 11 home runs and 61 RBI in 135 at-bats in the three-hole. He hit .405/.436/.703 with three dingers and seven RBI in nine games batting third for the Yankees in 2017. Second-half injuries last year derailed what was an excellent season for Castro, as he finished hitting .300 with 16 homers and 63 RBI in 112 games. His power will be down, especially with the move to a more pitcher-friendly park, but he makes plenty of contact and will offer a high average.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
