2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (finger) sustained a non-displaced fracture of his right middle finger and is considered day-to-day. The 33-year-old sat out both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was removed from Tuesday's contest against the Pirates after being hit by a pitch on the right hand. The veteran appears to have avoided a significant injury, but it's unclear if the finger issue will require a trip to the injured list. Marte's next chance to return will be Friday against the Miami Marlins. Stay tuned.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
