Starling Marte Exits Tuesday's Game With Left Quad Tightness
2 years agoUpdating a previous report, New York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (quadriceps) was removed from Tuesday's game against the San Diego Padres with left quad tightness, per MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. Marte injured his leg in the first inning when he was caught trying to steal second base. This appears to be good news overall for the 33-year-old and his fantasy managers, as it does not sound as though the injury is serious. He should be considered day-to-day, but hopefully Marte won't have to miss much time, as he has slashed a strong .277/.316/.441 with seven home runs, 33 RBI and eight stolen bases this season.
