3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (hand) exited Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers after getting hit by a pitch in the right hand. He left the game early after getting hit in the area of his right hand with a 97-mph Corbin Burnes sinker. The 33-year-old went 1-for-2 before exiting. The severity of Marte's injury is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Marte will undergo further evaluation after the game, and the Mets should know specifics on the injury afterward. Nick Plummer replaced Marte in Wednesday's contest and would see an uptick in playing time if the veteran outfielder misses any games.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
