3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte was placed on the bereavement list on Monday. Marte will be away from the team for at least three days and as many as seven, so fantasy managers will want to remove him from their lineups for the week. Through his first 33 games with the Mets, Marte is hitting .266/.311/.403 with three home runs, 20 RBI, 20 runs scored and five stolen bases. With Marte out of the lineup on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals, Travis Jankowski will get the start in right field and will hit eighth in the lineup against right-hander Miles Mikolas for Game 1 of a doubleheader. Jankowski is off to a good start this year with nine hits in 31 at-bats, but he's mostly useful in fantasy for his speed.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
