6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte accounted for half of the hits for Pittsburgh on Thursday night. Marte showed off some speed with some infield hits against the St. Louis Cardinals. Marte had three hits out of the Pirates' six total hits. He's hitting .277 on the season, and has been fairly steady despite a slow month of August. Marte hit from the leadoff spot for just the eighth time this season, but don't expect him to be the leadoff guy for the rest of the year unless he starts to heat up. Marte still has some fantasy value, and he may be turning things around going into September.--Blake Sullivan
