3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (oblique) hit off a tee on Tuesday for the first time since being shut down in camp with a sore left oblique. The Mets continue to be encouraged by his progress, so there's still a chance that the 33-year-old will be ready for Opening Day. Any little setback would derail those plans, though, so fantasy managers should be keeping a close eye on his status the rest of spring training. Marte was excellent last season with the Miami Marlins and Oakland Athletics, slashing .310/.383/.458 with a league-leading 47 stolen bases, 12 home runs, 55 RBI and 89 runs in 526 plate appearances. He'll continue to be a solid source of steals in fantasy, but a high BABIP in 2021 likely means batting average regression is coming.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
