7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte left Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox with "right side discomfort." He hit a double in the first inning and later came around to score, but he didn't come back out on the field on defense in the second. Sean Rodriguez replaced him in center field. There was no obvious injury to Marte, so it's not clear whether he hurt himself swinging the bat or running the bases. We'll have more on his condition when information is available.--Matt Wilkes
