3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Starling Marte seems like he will be on the move prior to the trade deadline, after Marte and the Marlins were unable to come to an agreement on a contract extension, according to Craig Mish of the Miami Herald. It was reported earlier in the day by MLB Network's Jon Heyman that the Phillies, Astros and Yankees were expressing interest in acquiring the 32-year-old outfielder, who is slashing .287/.391/.446 with seven homers, 18 steals, 21 RBI and 48 runs scored over 55 games this season. Any of those three teams would have Marte sliding into a better lineup, but of the three teams rumored to be interested, Philadelphia would likely provide the most playing time for Marte. Managers should keep an eye out for developments on the trade front for Marte, as he could see a boost in fantasy value for the second half of the season.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
