3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Starling Marte stole two more bases Sunday against the San Francisco Giants, bringing his league-leading total to 39. He also went 3-for-4 with a double in the game. Marte has been simply superlative this season with a .321/.403/.468 slash line and nine home runs, 66 runs scored, and 39 RBI in 327 at-bats. The speed game that has run wild since coming over from Miami, as Marte has recorded 17 of his steals in his first 22 games for Oakland. That type of output can single-handedly turn the tides of a matchup, and fantasy managers should cross fingers that he keeps it up through the rest of the season.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
