3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (oblique) hasn't resumed hitting, but manager Buck Showalter said Marte still has time to be ready for Opening Day, which is less than three weeks away. Marte has been bothered by a sore left oblique in camp after signing a four-year, $78 million deal before the lockout. The 33-year-old is expected to be a fixture at the top of New York's lineup in his first year in Queens, but there's a chance he won't be ready for the start of the season. When healthy, he will be an excellent source of speed and runs for fantasy managers after he hit a combined .310/.383/.458 with 12 home runs, 55 RBI, 89 runs scored and a career-high-tying 47 steals in 120 games for the Miami Marlins and Oakland Athletics in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
