4 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Starling Marte (rib) is taking batting practice on Friday in Miami. Marte hasn't played in about a month after having to leave in the middle of an at bat due to a fractured rib suffered during an awkward swing. He was completely shut down for a couple of weeks but seems to be ramping up his rehab in the past few days. The Marlins medical staff will determine what Marte's next steps will be, but he'll need at least a couple of rehab games once he ramps things up before he can return to the Marlins lineup.
