4 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Starling Marte (rib) is traveling with the team from Miami to Boston for the weekend series against the Red Sox. While no official move has been made just yet, it clearly implies that Marte will be able to play in the weekend series. Marte hasn't played in exactly a month, as he was forced to leave in the middle of an at bat on April 28th. An awkward swing ended up causing a fractured rib. He's progressed through his rehab with no setbacks and will return to a .310/.414/.483 slash line. The Marlins desperately need his bat in the order.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
