2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (hand) left the stadium on Wednesday to undergo further testing on his right hand after he was hit by a pitch on Tuesday. The Mets want a more clear picture that initial images didn't provide, but he will miss another contest in Game 2 of a doubleheader on Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. "We're waiting with bated breath that things come back clean," manager Buck Showalter said. Fantasy managers should consider the 33-year-old veteran to be day-to-day for now, but prepare for the worst just in case. Marte made the All-Star team for the second time in his career this year, and he's slashing a very strong .292/.347/.468 with an .814 OPS, 16 home runs, 63 RBI, 76 runs scored and 18 stolen bases in 118 games. The Mets and fantasy managers are crossing their fingers that they'll have Marte to close out the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
