Steelers Adding Myles Jack, Cutting Joe Schobert
3 years agoFormer Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Myles Jack is expected to sign a two-year, $16 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a source. The addition of Jack led to the release of outside linebacker Joe Schobert, who was scheduled to count $9.7 million against the team's salary cap in 2022. Jack led the Jaguars in 2021 with 108 tackles (62 solo), and he also recorded three tackles for loss in 15 games. The 26-year-old was a former second-round pick and could form a very nice tandem with Devin Bush in Pittsburgh. Jack has 100-plus combined tackles in three of his six NFL seasons and has also tallied 6.5 sacks in 88 career games (82 starts).
