Steelers Decline Devin Bush's Fifth-Year Option
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers declined to pick up the fifth-year option for linebacker Devin Bush on Monday, according to a source. Bush will now be playing the 2022 season on an expiring contract. The former 10th overall pick out of Michigan in 2019 had 70 tackles (41 solo), four QB hits, two sacks, four passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 14 starts for the Steelers in his third season in 2021 after playing in only five games due to injury in his sophomore season in 2020. The 23-year-old had his best season in his rookie campaign, when he totaled 109 tackles (72 solo), nine tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, four passes defensed, one forced fumble and four fumble recoveries (one for a touchdown) in 16 games (15 starts).
