Steelers To Look At Jimmy Garoppolo?
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers will look anywhere and everywhere this offseason when it comes to replacing retired quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is a name to keep an eye on in their search. As of right now, Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins are set to compete for the starting job in training camp, but the Steelers could look to the draft or free agents such as Mitchell Trubisky. Garoppolo's trade value may have taken a hit after it was recently announced that he's scheduled to undergo shoulder surgery on his throwing arm, but the surgery is considered minor, making it likely that the 30-year-old will be ready for the 2022 season. No matter where Jimmy G lands, he'll be more of a midrange QB2 for fantasy managers if he's starting under center.
