Steelers To Trade For Joe Schobert
3 years agoAccording to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Pittsburgh Steelers are finalizing a deal to acquire linebacker Joe Schobert from the Jacksonville Jaguars. The terms of the deal are not yet reported but it appears that Schobert will join Pittsburgh just one year into a five-year deal that he signed with the Jaguars last offseason. Schobert spent the first four years of his career with the Cleveland Browns, so he will be familiar with the opposing offenses in the AFC North. He made 141 tackles and had 2.5 sacks as a member of the Jags last season. A lock for at least 100 tackles annually, he remains a starting-caliber linebacker in fantasy IDP leagues.
