Steer Clear Of Jason Vargas On Monday
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jason Vargas will take the hill on Monday against the Miami Marlins after getting skipped the last turn through the rotation. Unlike the New York Mets, for fantasy purposes you should be skipping him indefinitely. Vargas’ struggles since returning from the disabled list on April 28 have practically been comical. He’s made three starts total, hasn’t lasted longer than 4 2/3 innings pitched, and has given up a minimum of four runs in each (with run counts of nine and six in the other two outings, respectively). Vargas’ ERA currently sits at 13.86, with a WHIP of 2.68. If you really needed us to tell you that he should not be owned in any fantasy league, your problems run a lot bigger than Jason Vargas.
