Stephen Piscotty Shut Down With Rib Injury
5 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty (rib cage) will be shut down after reports that his MRI came back "a little worse" than expected, according to manager Bob Melvin. Piscotty had been taking batting practice in the cage but hasn't been on the field for Oakland this spring due to rib cage discomfort. Piscotty has some upside when healthy, as he blasted 27 homers in 2018, but he was hampered with injuries most of last season and now it appears he'll miss most of spring training. The A's haven't ruled him out to play on Opening Day, but fantasy managers don't need to draft Piscotty in shallow mixed leagues.
