Stephen Strasburg Allows Four Runs, Three Homers
6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg allowed four runs in six innings on Tuesday in Washington's 7-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants, including home runs to Evan Longoria, Steven Duggar and Brandon Belt. On the bright side, he walked none and struck out eight for a 1.00 WHIP, but nonetheless he took the loss in a frustrating performance. Strasburg is now 1-1 with a 5.56 ERA despite a 28/7 K/BB ratio and 3.33 xFIP. He should be just fine. Strasburg's next start will be at Miami, a nice opportunity for a strong rebound.
