4 years agoWashington Nationals right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg looked excellent through his first four innings Sunday against Baltimore before the wheels fell off in the fifth. Strasburg finished with five runs allowed across 4 ⅓ frames in his season debut, having been continually bumped back due to a nerve issue in his pitching hand. After the game, Strasburg noted that while he felt something mirroring fatigue in his hand, he didn’t believe that he was doing any long-term damage by pitching through it. Clearly the hand is amiss and affecting the All-Star right-hander, so owners may want to keep an eye on Strasburg ahead of his projected start next week when he faces the Orioles again.--Jesse Borek
