3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg (neck, shoulder) remains on track to make his second minor league rehab start with Single-A Fredericksburg on Sunday. The goal is for him to throw 60 to 70 pitches over four to five innings. From there, Strasburg is scheduled to join the team at Citi Field for their series against the New York Mets to throw a bullpen session. Strasburg is expected to need at least three rehab starts before he makes his season debut in the Nats starting rotation. Washington wants the 33-year-old right-hander to comfortably be able to throw at least six innings and 90 pitches before he's activated from the injured list. Stras had surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome, and it remains to be seen how he'll bounce back. He's only thrown 26 2/3 innings in the big leagues in the last two seasons due to injuries.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
