3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg (neck, shoulder) will undergo thoracic outlet surgery on Wednesday, according to Jesse Dougherty of the Washington Post. With this, Strasburg's injury-riddled 2021 campaign finally comes to a close, as he will now aim to be back in time for Spring Training next year. Strasburg finishes 2021 with a 1-2 record, 4.57 ERA, 1.385 WHIP and 22.1 percent strikeout rate over 21 2/3 innings of work.
