4 years agoStephen Thompson showed he still has plenty left in the tank by dismantling the up-and-coming Geoff Neal by unanimous decision on Saturday. Thompson dominated on all of the judges' scorecards, taking it 50-45 across the board. Statistically, Thompson's numbers looked great for 25 minutes of action, landing 171 significant strikes (191 total strikes), which breaks down to 6.84 significant strikes per minute over 25 minutes. As expected between these two, neither fighter attempted a takedown. It's a great win for Thompson, showing that he can still go in the cage with the best up-and-coming talent the division has to offer.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
