3 years agoFree-agent catcher Stephen Vogt signed with the Oakland A's on Wednesday. The 37-year-old rejoins the Athletics, where he spent most of his career from 2013-2017 in Oakland and was named a two-time All-Star. He underwent sports hernia surgery in mid-October but is expected to fully recover before Opening Day. Vogt will serve as the backup for Sean Murphy after slashing .195/.283/.333 with seven home runs, 25 RBI, and 24 runs scored over 78 games for the Diamondbacks/Braves in 2021. The veteran isn't much of a fantasy option outside the deepest leagues in 2022.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
