Sterling Shepard Could 'Lead Giants In Catches'
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard could lead the team in catches this season, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic. While Kenny Golladay is battling a lingering hamstring injury and Kadarius Toney still needs to get acclimated to playing NFL defenses, Shepard projects to be a consistent staple of the offense once again. He amassed 705 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns through 12 games last season, then followed that up with an impressive training camp effort this year. "If he stays healthy, expect Shepard to lead the Giants in catches," writes Duggan. "A line of 80 catches for 900 yards and five touchdowns seems realistic." He's an intriguing mid-to-late round fantasy option.
