Sterling Shepard Could Return As Soon As Thursday

4 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (toe) could get back on the field as soon as Thursday’s contest versus Philadelphia, as head coach Joe Judge indicated that Shepard’s status could be determined during a pre-game workout. Shepard has missed the team’s previous four contests with turf toe, with a small window of activation from injured reserve existing before he could potentially return to the field. Having amassed eight receptions for 76 yards in his two appearances this season, Shepard’s return would put a damper on the fantasy outlook of Darius Slayton and Golden Tate, who would remain appealing plays should Shepard remain out.
