Sterling Shepard Leads Giants With 71 Receiving Yards In Week 1
2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard led all wide receivers on the Giants with 71 receiving yards and a touchdown on two receptions. The veteran wideout spent the offseason rehabbing from an Achilles injury he suffered last season, but he was able to join the starting offense in Week 1. Even though the Giants didn't put the ball in the air much in the win over the Tennessee Titans, Shepard made the most of his opportunities by scoring a 65-yard touchdown to tie the game in the third quarter. The Oklahoma product has proven to be an effective wide receiver when he's healthy. And if Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney continue to see limited snaps, Shepard could transition into being a viable option in PPR leagues again.
