5 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard had a quiet game in the box score, but it was close to being so much more. Shepard ended the day with five catches for 49 yards on 10 targets, but he was wide open for walk-in touchdowns on two of those targets and Daniel Jones just missed him. A third target was a jump ball in the end zone that Shepard probably should have secured against tight coverage. Shepard isn't going to see as many wide-open targets now that he's no longer the team's primary slot receiver, but he's clearly still trusted by Daniel Jones. Jones just needs to be better for Shepard to have consistent value. It might not be a bad idea to wait for a good game and try to sell the former Oklahoma wide receiver.--Eric Samulski - RotoBaller
