Sterling Shepard To Be A Game-Time Decision
2 years agoNew York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that wide receiver Sterling Shepard (Achilles) will be a game-time decision on Sunday for the Week 1 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Shepard will probably do a pre-game workout before inactives are released so the Giants can make a final decision. The 29-year-old pass-catcher is less than nine months removed from a torn Achilles suffered last season, so even if he does play, fantasy managers would be wise to keep him out of their starting lineups in Week 1 in deeper leagues. For now, the Giants have healthy bodies ahead of him at the position in Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney and rookie Wan'Dale Robinson. If Shepard is ruled out, Darius Slayton would be battling for playing time as the No. 4 wideout.
